Kukuwe Foundation NPO 270-983 is a registered non-profit organisation that operates in full compliance with the Non-Profit Organisations Act of 1997. The organisation and its office bearers are collectively accountable for upholding the rules, regulations, and statutory obligations prescribed under the Act.
Kukuwe is governed and operated by a dedicated team of office bearers, comprising a Chairperson, Treasurer, and Secretary, who collectively form the Board of Governance. The organisation is driven by historically disadvantaged young South African professionals, committed to achieving meaningful, lasting impact.
The Foundation plays a critical social investment role within the Lizelande Holdings portfolio, giving back to communities and creating a pipeline of skilled young professionals. Kukuwe's work directly supports South Africa's National Development Plan objectives around youth employability and rural economic participation.

Education & Tertiary Access
Unlocking higher education for rural youth
- Assist underprivileged youth in accessing tertiary education — including applications for admission and funding
- Assistance with tertiary education applications and admission guidance
- Bursary and funding application support (NSFAS, private bursaries)
- Career counselling and subject choice guidance for high school learners
Skills Development & Training
Building capacity for the Fourth Industrial Revolution
- Provide career guidance to youth within rural schools and communities
- Deliver training and development opportunities to youth in rural and remote areas
- Computer literacy and digital skills training for rural youth
